Welcome to Bayou Country! We are located in Greenwell Springs, which is northeast of Baton Rouge in South Louisiana. Bayou Country is owned and operated by myself, Mitzi Cowart with the help and support of my husband Wally and our children. We raise registered Nigerian Dwarf Dairy goats. Our goats are registered with the American Goat Society and the American Dairy Goat Association. They can also be registered with NDGA. We attend several shows each year and are striving to raise healthy, quality Nigerians with excellent milk production and conformation. Our herd is tested annually by Washington State University (WADDL) for CAE and CL with the entire herd having negative results.
